Invest For A Brighter Future

I am lucky to have a partner in like like my husband. He has this characteristics I am admiring about him. He might be the kind of husband that is not that sweet in terms of giving material things to you in every occasions, but I understand. Those are not important.  I appreciate his own way of  thoughtfulness. Maybe he's just practical and I accept it.

He maybe the kind of man with so many dreams and being thrifty is one of his way to fulfill his dreams one by one.  I admire him having his own car in a span of 7 months work in USA.  Sometimes when were having a conversation, I can feel from his words the things he's dreaming, I can tell how much he thinks of getting rich so that someday he can give everything to our kids in the future and don't worry about our retirement.  I can project that his next plan is a house. Who doesn't want to have a house of your own? Everybody dreams of it right?  There's this article talking about "I Will Teach you To Be Rich" talking about personal finance and entrepreneurship for college students, recent college grads, and everyone else. I think this book will help us a lot in fulfilling our dreams. It's not bad to aim for higher right? I think my husband's attitude will bear fruits someday.

I am doing my best to help my husband in his dreams and my first step is to become thrifty like him. 

Berkeley Residences Blessings

Berkeley Residences is finally gonna be ready on May this year. We've been waiting for almost 2 and half years and soon we will be having it already! Last week they conducted the Condo Blessing, my inlaws were there since my mom-in-law is our SPA (special power of attorney) representative while were not in there to do some document signings etc. This coming May, our unit will soon be turn over to us and then that will be the start of another expenses. First is the monthly association dues, we will be shouldering that if we accept the unit already, another thing s the electricity that has a minimum payment even if you don't use it yet as long as you accepted the unit already. Another form of expenses that will be soon coming is the beautification of the unit before we lease it. We will start with the air condition installation and I guess we will need to install smoke detector and do some tile floor installation too. If the tenant wish to take it as fully furnish then that will be another set of expenses. Good Luck to us then!

Berkeley Residences Turnover

Finally Berkeley Residences is conducting their turn over this month. If you were reading my blog, you will notice in my posts last 2010 were all about our unit we acquired there. That is our first investment, the first thing we can call ours even though not yet totally paid, still it's ours now.

Last February before we got here in US, I have seen our unit for inspection before they turn over it to us. I fell in love with it for the first time I saw it, it is more beautiful than I expected. I wish my kids saw it too personally aside from the photos I took before we left but we don't have enough time left. It's only a one bedroom unit with 22 sqm floor area but I feel so excited because no matter how small it is, it was still an accomplishment for us. I wish we could finish our bank loan so we could acquire new investment or maybe we could buy stocks next time. I also wanna buy a lot in the Philippines or maybe a house and lot here in US. Who knows...:)

How Can We Able to Earn 250,000 in 2010?!?

I'm getting crazy computing our income. Budgeting my husband's salary that is no longer enough for four of us is really making me crazy. Our extra expenses for the past few months were all coming from my realty commissions, lately (because my commissions were used in small business) we used his performance bonus which is supposed to be in the bank as our savings but is already used also. Where can I get such unexpected expenses but in our savings right? So how can we able to earn 250,000 for the next six months if unexpected expenses keeps on coming? We really need that money for our Condo's Processing fee and cash out in case (actually for sure we can't able to meet the given loanable amount) we don't meet the salary requirement of the bank. I really need more sales in realty or in my mini business. Hope we could overcome this. I know God has a way. So help us God.

Our First Ever Investment on it's 6th month Downpayment!

Wow, it's been a while and we are about to finish 5% of our down payment! Yeah, i know we're still far from the "moment of truth" but It seems very fast to me. After paying 20% down payment and that would be on May 2010 (20% downpayment - 24 months to pay), our unit will be turned over to us then we can start our business!

Isn't a good investment opportunity?
